In conjunction with the WE ARE IT campaign (supported by Governor Strickland), this program provides middle school girls with information and incentives to pursue their interests in STEM-related subjects and IT-related careers in order to meet the impending demand for IT workers in Ohio.
64 middle school girls who are interested in IT and other science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) - related subjects spent the day discovering how much fun IT is. They participated in a variety of interactive technology-related activities as they rotated through several programs at CVCC. They were also involved in a group activity to learn more about IT careers and enjoyed a lunch with IT professionals.
