Local businesses that have job openings for summer or part-time positions attend the Annual Student Job Fair at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center.  Each business has a table and high school students will be able to talk to representatives from companies they are interested in.  Tables are color-coded so students know the age group businesses hire.  Most companies bring applications for students to complete that evening.  Applications are also available on-line so students can complete them in advance.

 

Employers ask students about their skills, interests, and availability to work.  Students should ask employers about the company, the types of positions available, and (if interested) what steps should be taken to apply for the job.  Some employers even hire students that evening!  Interview tips.  More information.
