Walking tours consist of students touring various businesses within their community. The students are divided into groups of 10-12 students and each group visits one business. Each group has a teacher, a chaperone, and a student facilitator involved.
When the students arrive at the business site, the student facilitator will greet the host site and begin asking questions that the students have prepared prior to the tour. The host site will explain their operation, answer questions and give them a short tour. They spend approximately, 30-45 minutes at the site. Once they arrive back at their school, the students share with other groups what they have learned.
