Career Development
Young Men in Medicine
The Young Men in Medicine program provides middle school boys with an opportunity and incentive to explore careers in the allied health field to meet the demand for health care workers in the workforce.
64 middle school boys (eight from each of CVCC's associate school districts) who expressed an interest in a career in the health care field spend the day at CVCC. They rotate through several high school programs and participate in a variety of hands-on activities that are facilitated by CVCC's junior students. Through a partnership with the Cleveland Clinic, the young men also meet and have lunch with professional men from various health care industries. After lunch, the men explain and demonstrate their careers.
We hope you enjoy the pictures from this year's event.
